The Wedge-tail eagles is Australia's largest bird of prey.
They can have wingspans up to 3m wide.
The will ravenously eat road kill and after gorging themselves on Kilograms of food can, themselves suffer the same fate.....being hit by a car or truck, Their bellies will be so full they can be slow to get of the ground.
The tail is based on the indigenous Australian Aboriginal flag.

One Dreamtime story I heard was: The cockatoo was originally all white and was teased by the other animals. So he found some coloured feathers and put them in his tail, The other birds didn't like that he had used their feathers and so, they chased him away....He flew too close to the Sun and burnt his crest...and that's how come their crest is yellow.
